These Play Packs Encourage Specific Skills in Children with Autism
Laura McQuarrie — May 27, 2020 — Life-Stages
In partnership with Toys R Us Canada, Autism Speaks Canada is introducing its first-ever Developmental Play Packs designed to support skill-building in kids with autism. The Developmental Play Packs designed for kids with autism were developed in collaboration with the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis and help to foster the growth of fine and gross motor skills, plus cognitive, social, speech, emotional, sensory and language development.
These toy sets to support the autism community are launching at a time when families may be feeling under even more strain under COVID-19 and could use extra help at home when it comes to encouraging entertainment and education. 10% of the sales from all the Developmental Play Packs will go towards supporting Autism Speaks Canada.
