With the summer Olympics just around the corner, McDonald's has announced that it will be opening up a new restaurant complete with a custom dessert kiosk in the international zone of the Olympic Village. The new restaurant will continue the brand's ongoing Olympic campaign, which already includes commercials and a series of new menu items.
The new McDoanld's restaurant will be located inside the Olympic Village in Barra Olympic Park and it will serve the chain's standard global menu, along with All Day Breakfast. There will also be several Brazilian specialties on the menu such as pao de queijo, which is a baked cheese roll often enjoyed during breakfast or as a snack. The restaurant will even feature a dessert kiosk that will serve the McFlurry along with other popular McDonald's treats.
Although there are a number of McDonald's already located in the area where the Olympics will be held, the new restaurant will help the chain increase its visibility during the games by serving the athletes directly.
