The CitySurf Deska Board Can Be Used for Land-Based Windsurfing
Rahul Kalvapalle — September 11, 2014 — Autos
The Deska board, dubbed 'CitySurf', is the latest in a growing line of boards that aim to simulate the feel of surfing. The CitySurf board accomplishes this by virtue of its low, wide deck and its trio of smooth-rolling 200 mm wheels. It even has input for a windsurf sail, and features a unique foot retention system as well as a rear disc brake
The Deska board's deck is constructed out of carbon fiber, Kevlar, stainless steel, aluminum, wood and fiberglass. It is equipped with a lowered foot platform that reduces the rider's center of gravity and gives them more control over movements.
The designer of the Deska board, Hungary-based Csaba Tolgyesy, has taken to Indiegogo to raise funds for production of his ingenious invention. A pledge of $490 will secure you a Deska board if the campaign hits its fundraising goal.
