Kin Designs the Office Interior for Law Firm Dentons
Amy Duong — November 26, 2023 — Art & Design
Design studio Kin creates the new office interior design for global law firm Dentons in Edinburgh with a communal rotunda that features no doors. The space is also defined by its open-plan bar and can be found at 9 Haymarket Square. The studio aims to push the ideas of traditional design for legal spaces when it was creating the interior. It features Scottish oak and rounded structure backed by a circular sustainable footprint.
Holmes explains that "The materiality draws inspiration from Scotland's abundant natural landscape through warm timbers and rich and textured fabrics. Whilst balancing them against the warm tonal colour palette and strong geometry of Edinburgh's built environment, the rooftops and tenement tile patterns provided so much inspiration."
