Land Rover is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a reissue of its Defender Works V8. This limited-edition vehicle will be produced in limited amounts, with only 150 vehicles being made, and will combine modern power with a classic design. The idea for the reissue first began in 2014, but collectors have been clamoring for a remake of this classic vehicle for some time. Paying homage to the 1979 Defenders, this limited-edition will be available in eight colors, and will feature distinct Defender bonnet lettering.
Designed with classic aesthetics, the Defender Works V8 boasts impressive modern performance. A 5.0-liter V8 powertrain grants the vehicle 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 106mph. The high-performance vehicle will also include uprated brakes, an improved handling kit, 18-inch diamond-turned Sawtooth alloy wheels, 265/65 R18 all-terrain tires and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with sport mode. These updated internals work with the classic design to strike an incredible balance between elegance and adventure.
