Canadian artist Dean Reeves created these vintage-looking re-imaginings of George Lucas’ first three Star Wars moives. They are a tribute to the film noir era and exhibit the gritty look and feel of a pulp fiction novel.
According to a post on his website, Reeves really liked the artwork featured on an old movie poster for the Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall picture The Big Sleep. As such, he used the same design for one of his posters and swapped the image of Bogart and Bacall with a picture of Han and Leia (Solo and Organa as their names appear on the poster).
There are a total of four posters in the series and each has been made into a limited edition print currently available now available on Reeves's Etsy store.
