'ADATA,' the Taiwanese manufacturer of industrial-grade memory and storage solutions, has debuted the 'DDR5 U-DIMM' and 'DDR5 SO-DIMM' high-speed memory modules. These memory modules were designed for a wide range of industry-focused uses, such as "Artificial Intelligence of Things" (AIoT), edge computing, server applications, surveillance, and many more.
Both memory modules feature maximum capacities of 32gb, frequencies of 4,8900 MT/s, low temperatures of 0°C to 85°C, and a power-efficient operating voltage of 1.1v. The main differences between the unbuffered (U) model and the small outline (SO) model are the form factor and optimal use cases. The SO-DIMM is more compact and designed for more passive applications such as surveillance and embedded systems, while the U-DIMM model is larger and suited for more active IoT and 5G applications.
