I don’t know about the rest of the world, but New York City has certainly gotten the Spring/Summer fashion memo that cut-offs and stockings are back.

Better than ever, you can’t walk a block in the East or West village without spotting this sorta-euro, sorta-grungette style on a girl. Pair with white, slightly oversized t-shirt, shrunken blazer and gladiator sandals, and you’ve got the official hipster uniform for 2009. Bonus points for adding a straw panama hat.
