Multiple Blocks Make Up This Modern Madrid Residence
Mishal Omar — July 11, 2016 — Eco
This cubic modern home in Madrid was designed to ensure the privacy of its famous owner.
Designed for an anonymous sports player by 'Abiboo Architecture,' this home is made up of a series of protruding cubes. These "stacked volumes" open up to secluded terraces within which the sportsman can enjoy the outdoors while remaining hidden from prying eyes. The large cubic modern house has a section for everything from a meditation space, gym and sauna to a party area that opens up to the outdoors. The home is also environmentally friendly, using natural water bodies and "natural ventilation strategies" to reduce its carbon footprint.
In the process of creating home by stacking a number of large cubes, the architects made designating and design within the home much more simple.
