Forget The Amazing Race, this is a cross-country relay race with a deliciously nerdy slant -- for a great cause, no less.
The Star Wars themed 'Course of the Force' cross-country relay will be taking place from July 9 to July 16. The race, which gloriously uses a lightsaber as the relay baton, will begin at Skywalker Ranch in Northern California. The course will run through San Francisco, all the way down the California coast, culminating in San Diego, just in time for the San Diego Comic-Con. Interested runners or donators can register on the event's website, with the proceeds of the event going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
If anything, this forceful cross-country relay proves once and for all that nerds can be athletic too!
