While you may have never seen a peacock roaming the streets at night, Mikko Lagerstedt is one photographer who wants to make you believe it can happen with his creative animal photography. In his series called 'Night Animals,' Lagerstedt captures ethereal shots of Porvoo, Finland and then pairs them with a separate shot of an animal.
Some of the eerie shots include deer off in the distance, owls that perch on top of fences, and peacocks taking the place of pigeons in front of city benches. The entire series is basked in a hazy orange glow that makes it all seem pretty dreamy. The completely desolate urban areas adds an extra haunting feel that takes this photo series to the next level.
