Crackers may not be filling enough to constitute an entire meal, but cracker brand Jacob's will be devoting an entire restaurant to the many inspiring creations that can be made with a base of crackers. The one-day cracker pop-up will be launched in collaboration with foodie and cheesemaker Alex James, who is also a member of the band Blur.
At the pop-up, guests will be treated to a lunch and dinner tasting menus that spotlight Jacob's lunchtime cracker collection, which includes ciabatta, crispbread and flatbread cracker choices. The restaurant will also host a five-course lunch and a six-course dinner, which includes a number of classic British recipes that can be made with a twist.
Around the world, both pop-up and permanent restaurants are emerging with a spotlight on single-ingredient menus.
