Among the 250-acres of the New York Botanical Garden, Yayoi Kusama's Cosmic Nature exhibition immerses viewers into decades of Kusama's polka-dotted, nature-inspired sculptures. Debuting during Kusama's Cosmic Nature exhibition are four new pieces, all of which highlight the artist's bold and iconic style.
The Cosmic Nature exhibition features a 16-foot-tall dancing pumpkin, polka-dotted cosmic tentacles, a nature-filled greenhouse, and a reflective infinity room. Kusama's exhibition portrays the artist's understanding of nature and its relation to the cosmic world.
While these new pieces take center stage, the Cosmic Nature exhibition also features older pieces from Kusama's collection, the oldest dating back to 1945, which all touch on humanity's interactions with nature. The Cosmic Nature exhibition will run until October 31.
