Converse's ¡Mi Gente! Collection Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Ellen Smith — September 17, 2020 — Fashion
Converse's '¡Mi Gente!' collection has just been released in light of National Hispanic Heritage Month, offering unique Latin-inspired designs on the brand's Chuck Taylor All Star, Chuck 70 and more.
The line aimed to embody the rich culture, history and vibrancy of Latinx culture, and did so through creating prints, clothes and sneakers that drew its inspiration from Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. The '¡Mi Gente!' print can be seen throughout the collection, which according to a press release from Converse is a “call to action and unifying the core beliefs of family and identity within the collection.”
In addition to sneakers, the line offers two ruffle shirts that arrive in a crisp white and bold orange colorway.
