The Convergence Sculpture by Chris Fox flows cohesively. This sculpture is located in the lobby and atrium of the Global Switch data center solutions office building in Paris, France.
Convergence was planned through brilliant modeling software and cutting-edge technology techniques, resulting in this 370-meter steel structure. It used parametric design models to allow the sculpture to run together through its entirety. Covergence is intertwined together, and then stops at certain points as the structure passes through walls. The structure moves through the atrium and lobby wrapping and twisting its way in a distinct pattern flowing above the people.
This project took two years to create from 2010-2011 in London, Paris and Sydney. This project's fluid and solid structure is quite the distinct architectural art form for the entrance to an office building.
