It has been awhile since I have stumbled across a design as simple and as brilliant as the Continuance USB Battery Charger. Continuance is a rechargeable battery designed to give a little extra juice to battery and USB-powered gadgets in need.
The Continuance USB Battery Charger was designed by Haimo Bao, Hailong Piao, Yuancheng Liu and Xiameng Hu for the 2011 iF Concept Design competition. The built-in USB port of Continuance is what sets this battery apart from all others. Imagine being able to power a dead digital camera and charge a cellphone using the same device. I am probably a little overly excited about this design, but it isn't everyday that you see a concept that is both practical and innovative.
