A new contemporary food hall is occupying an old lumbar warehouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The establishment is the first of its kind in the southwestern US state. Spanning 40,000 square feet and dubbed 'Sawmill Market,' the aesthetic of the business is overhauled by New York-based Islyn Studio.
The contemporary food hall is illuminated by an ample amount of light and features various modern material elements such as the industrial details that are present on the ceiling and throughout the establishment and the playful prints that capture the eye. In the design brief, the goal was to create "a new food and wine revolution in New Mexico — a state known for Route 66, craft beer and green chili."
