H&M's Conscious Exclusive 2020 collection is full of feminine, timeless styles that have been reworked with sustainably sourced materials. Inspiration for the collection was taken from the 1920s sleeper train Le Train Bleu, a popular mode of transportation for affluent creatives. The collection aims to capture the decadent and carefree essence of the times with mini dresses made with recycled taffeta, slippers embellished with recycled glass beads and even a ball gown.
As H&M’s Creative Advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson told Refinery29, "For spring ‘20, the Conscious Exclusive design team considered the emotional durability and afterlife of the garments they were designing more carefully than ever before. We are committed to a truly holistic approach to sustainability, as well as to creating special pieces that will last a lifetime.”
