The Project M is a concept city car and the result of a collaboration between Shell and professor Gordon Murray. The vehicle is being developed out of a re-think of Murray's T.25 city car, and will be smaller and more efficient.
The point of Project M is to develop a super-compact and ultra energy-efficient internal combustion car for use in cities. In conceiving this vehicle, the designers and engineers focused on keeping its weight low, using improved fuels and making efficiency improvements.
As cities expand in size and population, it is of utmost importance to address the associated challenges while minimizing our energy footprint. The Project M concept city car may currently only be a concept, but could pave the way for a new way of urban transportation that could help cities breathe again.
