Aleck, a company that specializes in innovations pertaining to the outdoor technology space, has launched a high-tech wireless communications module that is designed to be able to add wireless communications capabilities to existing bicycle helmets.
The 'Punks' communications module comprises a pair of elements that are hooked up to the chin strap of the helmet near the ears of the wearer. These Bluetooth-enabled elements are used in conjunction with a companion smartphone app in order to allow users to listen to music, make and receive phone calls, and engage in communications with other 'Punks' users.
