Last summer, the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club teamed up with TELUS to install a free Wi-Fi Network at Commonwealth Stadium. With a greater number of consumers using their smartphones to enhance the game day experience, there is a growing demand for complimentary Wi-Fi at sports venues. This recent partnership with TELUS gives the Edmonton Eskimos a new way for fans to stay connected while attending games at the stadium.

The new Wi-Fi network at Commonwealth Stadium will allow visitors to connect directly to the Internet in their seats and throughout the stadium. All visitors will be able to access the free TELUS Wi-Fi regardless of their service provider. Once connected, visitors will be able to use their mobile devices to activate different applications that can help to enhance the live game action. The Wi-Fi network will also allow the team to create new game day experiences, such as the 'Tweet Your Beats' music promotion and the Fan Photo Contest.

As mobile content becomes an increasingly vital part of the game day experience, stadiums are looking for new ways to keep fans connected.
