Award-winning cult salon #BLOW has been crowned Europe’s first official Manic Panic Colour Asylum. The international hair brand Manic Panic discovered Glasgow-based #BLOW online through a Manic Panic "cyber girl gang" photoshoot styled by the #BLOW team in Finnieston. Working with Scotland’s hottest photographers, influencers and fashion designers, it’s the creativity of this Glasgow salon that’s captured both Manic Panic and the world's attention. So much so, July will see the brand expanding into a new Shawlands salon with an added Training Academy.
Manic Panic has been innovating the world of hair color since 7/7/77 when Tish and Snooky Bellomo opened up America's first punk boutique on St. Mark’s Place in NYC. 39 years and 48 hair colors later, Manic Panic hair dyes are being used by celebrity stylists of the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and on the runways of Louis Vuitton, Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta and Jeremy Scott. Now Manic Panic colors are being seen on the stylish elite of the Glasgow streets.
Tish and Snooky are thrilled to have the first officially endorsed #BLOW as the official Manic Panic Colour Asylum salon in Europe, starting with Scotland’s most innovative salon. It was when they came across #BLOW’s highly engaged and creative social media pages, including their Manic Panic photo shoots, that they became eager to meet the brand behind it. The immediate chemistry that sparked during a meeting between team Manic Panic in NYC and #BLOW executives Fallon Carberry and Gavin Currie resulted in the birth of a salon partnership: '#BLOW: A Manic Panic Colour Asylum.'
This year is set to be #BLOW’s biggest yet with its shiny new Manic Panic status, a host of collaborations with independent fashion designers in the calendar and the grand opening of its new salon and training academy. You never know what’s next from this creative powerhouse, but rest assured it will #BLOW you away.
