No, this little puppy wasn't born in a highlighter factory. In fact, there's nothing wrong with him physically, he's just unique in that he's, well, green.
If I were the owner, I'd take full advantage and pitch him to ad agencies. Imagine, the world's first green puppy would be the ultimate mascot for all things eco-friendly!
Unfortunately, they'd have to act fast. The Veterinarians that examined the New Orleans-born pup said he probably won't stay that colour. His lime green skin will turn into a normal brown or beige. Shame!
For those who want to know more, Anna Zorrilla who is with the Louisiana SPCA, offered the following explanation.
“Sometimes, when a puppy is born, the amniotic fluid mixes with the placenta and dyes the coat of the puppy and it almost always happens to very light colored puppies,†she says. “There are not health concerns.
“It's really just a discoloration in the birthing process.â€
