Coloure Draine is a cosmetic line dedicated to "encourag[ing] self-expression and diversity." Founded by Loraine R. Dowdy in 2013, the brand offers a variety of mostly vegan beauty products including eyeshadow, blush, lipsticks, and foundation created specifically for people of color with colorways that compliment darker skin tones.
In addition to addressing the need for inclusive color options in beauty products, Coloure Draine also aims to support the Black community by employing Black women and men internally, with a team that is 100% Black, and made up of 75% women and 25% men. Moreover, all products are made by a manufacturer in the United States that is owned and employs people of color with a staff of over 75 people.
