Vienna-based design studio Steiner Architecture is the creative mind behind the Clinic in Anif, which is a private clinic located in Salzburg, Austria. It is defined by its wood textures and red concrete construction, topped with a serrated roof. The building has two stories -- the ground floor is a respiratory clinic and the upstairs features two individual apartments. From the outside, one of the facades looks like it has a winking eye and the other side has a staircase that looks like teeth.
The studio explains the design concept and differences within the space, stating "Upstairs in the apartment units one gets the peaceful ambiance of off-whites and pastels, but without the anxiety of medical procedure. Here the views are more expansive, the natural light vaster and through the openings, on the extra thick window reveals, the ever-present red concrete."
