The City of Dreams complex located in Macau, China, is designed by Zaha Hadid, and is set to house a number of different accommodation and entertainment options. The hotel will feature rooms for guests, as well as boutiques, shopping and a casino.
The design looks like two separate towers connected in various sections in the middle. Hadid has placed a cage-like material around the outside, which almost appears as if someone has thrown a metal net over the entire structure. Considering the surrounding towers look like everyday skyscrapers, the City of Dreams complex definitely stands out. However, its modern design does not make it look gaudy or unattractive. Instead it opens up a new form of architecture in the area, and provides the people of Macau as well as tourists with some entertainment.
