London-based designer Chrissa Amuah is one of the designers that helped create a series of products as a part of the Motlach by Design Programme. The single malt scotch whisky imprint invited a range of designers to help celebrate its product and rich heritage.
Amuah created bespoke lighting that is able to change color in order to spotlight the different ingredients that are in the whisky to give it flavor. Speaking about the design process, Amuah told Dezeen that "When I visited the distillery it was clear that the production of this drink is rooted in craft and perfected by science. There are so many layers to the distillation process which made me think it wouldn't be right to just create a traditional, static light fixture."
