There is a reason why the humidifier titled Chimney by Takeshi Ishiguro has been named so. Like a miniature smokestack, it redirects the moist air into a single cloud of smoke that emits from the top. Simple and slim, it also re-envisions the common look of a humidifier. The Tokyo-based designer wanted to rethink the traditional humidifier to create an clean and sophisticated version that people wouldn't want to hide away.
Chimney by Takeshi Ishiguro is equipped with an ultrasonic system, which silently increases the moisture content of the room, rather than just dampening the floor. It is capable of running for 18 hours on end and automatically turns off when tipped over or the water is low.
