American painter Kenny Scharf has revealed his latest childlike characters art exhibition called Tennis Elbow 115. Kenny Scharf was well-known in New York City's interdisciplinary East Village art scene during the 1980s with artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. He has been known to create art in childlike cartoon expression, and his work is also involved in famous cartoon shows such as The Flintstones and The Jetsons.
Tennis Elbow 115 was inspired by the street art movement of the 1980s, which is similarly showcased on white walls. The art exhibition took four years to create and features several childlike characters airbrushed across large-scale canvases and white gallery walls. The art exhibition contains some of his iconic characters to new creations. The artwork comprises vibrant colors with the characters created in massive sizes airbrushed, similar to the graffiti art style. The art exhibition will be on view until April 25 at The Journal Gallery in New York.
