Rick Owens S/S 2009
Going Like Sixty — September 30, 2008 — Luxury
American fashion designer Rick Owens sees Egyptian beauty in his collection, but I see harsh nuns.
Models for the Rick Owens S/S 2009 should have been decked out in glitz if they were meant to be dressed like Pharaoh's daughters. Pharoahs liked bling.
In the fashion show, these models appeared out of the fog, missing only the golden ruler used to smack knuckles of bad little boys who oogle little girls in pretty plaid skirts and shiny patent leather shoes... never mind. But I love the boots. They look like waders Miss Mancelona Bass of 1986 would have used.
