Ralph Lauren has long been renowned for the quality, comfort and utter opulence of its cashmere sweaters, but the company is now looking to accelerate the sustainability ethos associated with these products with the launch of its first cashmere sweater to meet 'Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold' standards.
This cashmere sweater is crafted out of organic cashmere fibers, with its eco-friendly credentials certified by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, which works to set international standards of excellence for sustainability and safely crafted products, drawing from an array of factors including climate protection and social justice.
In a press release, Ralph Lauren touted this sustainably crafted cashmere sweater as something that was created in order 'to be worn, cherished, and live on ethically for generations to come.' The sweater is available under the Collection label for women as well as the Purple Label for men.
