Cartoon Characters Mixed is a hilarious hybridization of characters and despite the odd couple selection, it works out pretty well.
Chan Hwee Chong's Cartoon Characters Mixed series tries to answer the age-old question of what would happen if two pop cultural characters produced an offspring. The results are quite charming and it turns out that the fusion of facial features actually works out well. However, the illustrations aren't a complete makeover or revamp; Chong stays true to the characters' classic looks and only adds a few new aspects to the final look so that it doesn't stray too far from the familiar.
With Mario and Blossom, Garfield and Betty Boop, this collection makes me wonder if Chong will consider giving Powerpuff Girls' Mojo Jojo and Dee Dee from Dexter's Lab a whirl.
