Taking a stroll down Milan’s infamous Montenapoleone, home to distinguished fashion houses, one will notice something a little amiss. From August 5 to September 30, 20 lifesize fiberglass replicas of the newly relaunched Fiat C will not only be lining the street, but will be acting as tree planters.
Proving that the Italian car giant has a green thumb, Fiat teamed with designer Fabio Novembre for this “Per fare un albero” (Create a tree) program. The designer sees this as a melding for two objects usually vying for urban space, coming together.
