Canyaon Unveils a Pair of Custom Boots Crafted From Vintage Hockey Gloves
Canyaon, whose real name is Alexander "Sasha" Osipov, is a 22-year-old Russian sneaker customizer known for his out-of-the-box concepts, including blood pack-infused Nikes, unlicensed Arc'teryx x Corona low-top boots, and a Nike Air Cabbage. The creative is now introducing a recycled pair of 15” Reebok hockey gloves that have been transformed into a pair of sneakers. The leather glove fingers dangle over the toe, while the remainder of the shoe comprises branded panels and cushioned velcro straps that wrap around the collars.
Canyaon, a trained electrician, was first inspired by designers he saw online, such as Nicole Mclaughlin, who pushed the boundaries of upcycling and personalization. While the imagery of the product suggests that it can be worn, the pairs appear to be strictly conceptual at the moment.
