During the Consumer Electronic Show held in Las Vegas, Michael S. Dell, the chairman of the computer company he founded, announced that his company is worried about the impact of electronic device production on the environment.
In response, they plan to start the “Plant a Tree for Me†program with Carbonfund.org, a non-profit organization that fights global warming. Every time customers buy a DELL computer, the company will donate $2 to $6 according to the product. The money will be used to plant trees that may offset carbon emissions.
