Czech brewery Budweiser Budvar is teaming up with east London bike-shop Bolt motorcycles to create a bespoke bike ready to take on a 1,000 mile European road trip. The custom motorcycle will be based off a 1980s Czech JAWA CZ motorcycle, but will feature design elements that echo the classic Czech bikes of the 1940s-60s and will include elements of the brewery. The frame of the Budweiser Budvar bike is set to feature artwork supplied by Dapper Signs and will feature a 'come hop motif.' The bike will also be fitted with a copper 'beer' tank in direct reference to the brewery's kettles and conditioning tanks.
The bike is set to be completed by late May 108 and will be shown at Bike Shed 2018, where it will be displayed at Budvar's on-site bar. Following the show, Andrew Almond, founder of Bolt motorcycles, will embark on a 1,000 mile road trip stopping off at numerous beer cities. Those looking to keep up with the journey will find blog updates on the Budweiser Budvar website and anyone who joins Almond on the ride will receive a free Budvar lager.
