Twitch has created a dedicated desktop broadcasting app, titled Twitch Studio. Currently the broadcasting app is in a limited-access beta program, however, users are able to apply for access to the beta version. As time goes on Twitch will be adding features to the platform. New features will include capture card support, in-game overlays to enable chat functions, as well as deeper integration with additional Twitch features.
Twitch has indicated that it does not think established streamers will be the target audience for the new app, instead, it will focus on new streamers. This is why twitch Studio will be designed for quick broadcasting, where users will not be required to undergo a lot of set up before they start streaming. Users of the platform will only be required to set up a microphone and webcam, choose a template, then they can begin streaming.
