Boyd Sailcloth constructs all of its products from recycled navy canvas and worn-out sails and makes an effort to incorporate locally sourced, reclaimed goods into as much of their construction process as possible.
The company was created as a homage to the founder's grandfather, Willis Boyd, who was an avid sailor and craftsman who constantly scoured warehouses and boatyards to find re-useable materials to incorporate into his building designs.
Continuing on with a similar tradition, the company mantra hinges on the belief that found materials can be reclaimed and re-purposed to create functional, contemporary pieces.
Composed of a line of totes that can be used for various functions such as storing wine and yoga mats to packing for a weekend getaway, each piece in the collection is composed of 100 per cent recycled materials and manufactured in Southern California.
