This past June, the 'Blue Balloon Songwriting for Small People' music school in Brooklyn hosted the eighth annual 'Blue Balloon Spring Songwriting Showcase'. While the venue is known for hosting many innovative and cutting-edge musicians, it recently showcased some far younger talent.
Blue Balloon Spring Songwriting Showcase was held this past June at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Just like in previous years, the event was designed to showcase the talents of the students at the Blue Balloon Songwriting for Small People school. Under the instruction of Rachel Lipson, the students have spent many hours learning how to master their instruments by writing songs of their own. At the spring event, these students were given time to showcase their work in front of a live audience, just as if they were putting on a real concert.
