In honor of 'Back to the Future Day,' Toyota has recreated the iconic black pickup truck featured in the film franchise
Originally drove by the character 'Marty McFly,' the original 1985 Toyota 'Hi-Lux Deluxe 4x4 Xtracab' black pickup truck has been updated for a 2016 Toyota 'Tacoma' model. The new truck design features a number of recognizable elements from the vehicle driven by Michael J. Fox's character including a black tube roll bar, a tubular front bumper and yellow 'KC' lights.
Toyota has currently released no plans for putting this particular model into production, but the truck will be available for viewing at certain locations around the country. Regardless of the truck's availability, this stunt by Toyota is an interesting mixture of marketing and fan service to the 'Back to the Future' films.
