The BK Motel in New Zealand Encourages Users to Cheat on Beef
Jamie Danielle Munro — April 2, 2014 — Lifestyle
The BK Motel is located in New Zealand, and is a place for people to go and "cheat on beef." Conceived by ad agency Colenso BBDO, the campaign was done for Burger King, and aims to have more people indulge in the guilty pleasures of eating chicken.
The video shot for the promotion of the BK Motel is done in a private investigation kind of way. A man is seen entering the motel from afar, and soon enough he sits at a table, takes out his juicy chicken burger and starts eating away. The creatives behind this branding strategy did a great job with taking the idea of a naughty time at a hotel, and re-appropriating it to fit the Burger King menu.
