Santa Monica recently revealed plans to redesign the city, and this redesigns seems to be starting with their bus stops under the project Big Blue Bus. This isn’t, however, simply a bus stop revamping, it will act as the city’s brand ambassador.
Designed by Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects and Bruce Mau Design., the Big Blue Bus project will take over 360 bus stops across Santa Monica. Focusing on providing shade from sunlight, the stops are a kit that can be reconfigured at each location.
