Founded in 1995 by the manager of Norwegian People's Aid, Lejla Radon?i?, BHcrafts is a social business that works with women from Bosnia and Herzegovina who were affected by the Bosnian War. The team has now worked with at least 500 different women. The use of natural materials is important to the proces but most important is the use of developing employment skills while at the same time considering psychotherapeutic initiatives. Affiliations of the social business include the World Fair Trade Organization and the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) Achievement Fund.
The products BHcrafts offers include clothing, fashion accessories, toys, holiday gifts, cell phone cases as well as designs for children, all of which are handmade by the women they employ.
