The new 'Beauty and the Beast' CW show set to premiere this fall has the simple basic storyline of the childhood classic, but has gotten a Manhattan modern-day makeover. The CW has introduced its fall line-up and among the shows includes the Disney remake as well as 'Arrow' -- a remake of the Green Arrow legend. Remakes have often been favored as a way to redo a show in another sense. This Beauty and the Beast makeover will be an interesting new venture.
Whether Beauty and the Beast will be a fan favorite, like the CW's 'Gossip Girl' or 'One Tree Hill' is still up in the air. With cast members from Smallville and other hit CW shows, the show definitely has quite a beautiful cast. Whether they can back it up with some serious acting ability is anyone's guess for now.
