I definitely have to add the Battery Park Library on my must-see list when I visit New York next month. I may be a geek, but libraries are my thing, and when a library boasts being the greenest of them all (in the Big Apple, at least), it warrants some attention from me.
Designed by 1100 Architects, the Battery Park Library is certified LEED Gold and is located at the base of Riverhouse, a LEED-certified condominium. Using savaged and recycled materials, the Battery Park Library will only be open a few days a week to cut down on its energy use.
