In a move to empower female entrepreneurs, a Barbie LinkedIn profile has been created. While the iconic doll has held over 150 different jobs since 1959, her LinkedIn company page uses the Entrepreneur Barbie persona. Barbie 'leans in' by asking young girls to not place any restrictions on their ambitions.
Barbie uses the professional networking site in order to empower women and encourage girls to 'dream big.' In a post Barbie says she recently established a 'dream incubator' where she works as a consultant, inspiring girls to use their imaginations, try different career paths and explore the world.
In addition to creating a Barbie LinkedIn profile, the Mattel brand also created a female entrepreneur-focused page on their website to celebrate the women and business and offer related tips.
