The Balios is an innovative gadget that is designed to monitor and optimize the performance of your ride -- if your ride has four legs. This device is designed to track the performance and health of your horse, so you can enjoy riding as much as possible and put out the best performance.
Developed by French startup Equisense, the Balios is designed primarily for use during training sessions. Once you attach it across the girth of the saddle, the device measures the horse's speed, stride length, jump trajectory, movement symmetry, gait and more. The data is transmitted via Bluetooth 4.0 to a companion smartphone app, and is then condensed into a training report.
This gadget not only ensures that competitive riders perform at their best, but ensures that fatigue and injury can be located early so that the horse can be be kept fit and healthy.
