The Axor Bouroullec by ECAL collection is actually a fun project charged to talented students at the Ecole Cantonale d Art de Lausanne (ECAL). They were asked to reinterpret the bathroom fixtures designed by famous French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The result was ingenious, playful and incredibly creative.
The Axor Bouroullec by ECAL collection included a design by Giulio Parini, who explored the Japanese culture by using their garden tools to create zen-like patterns in foggy mirrors. Max Neustadt created a cheese grater-like chanterelle while Rita Botelho designed a flexible, memory-shaped sponge.
But my favorite Axor Bouroullec by ECAL design is Su-Jung Cheng's graffiti-encouraging sink. It is perfect for both kids and adults. Each design was showcased during Designers' Saturday in Switzerland.
