This poignant and haunting rug design shows a single polar bear stranded and alone on a tiny ice floe in a vast sea of blue water. The rug delivers a distressing message of the results of Global Warming and is aptly titled just that.
"Global Warming contrasts the comfort and softness of a rug with a thorny problem that is specific to our time," says NEL.
The 'Global Warming' rug is manufactured by Nanimarquina, a Spanish carpet company for NEL, a Mexican collective of designers. The rug is 100% New Zealand wool and the stand-up polar bear is made from felt.
The image is very sad indeed.
