AURALEE Joins New Balance on a 2002R Sneaker Design Update
Tokyo-based fashion imprint AURALEE introduces its latest collaborative project done alongside New Balance that spotlights the 2002R sneaker model. The two have worked together in the past to spotlight other silhouettes including the 550 and the FuelCell Speedrift to name a few. This time around, the lifestyle footwear gets a new neutral palette that is led by a Yellow Beige hue.
In terms of the construction, it has suede for a soft touch at the quarter panels and the tongue section. There is a lighter touch of contrast that can be seen in a light beige hue making up mesh collars, the toe boxes, and the forefoot paneling details. This is then rounded out by an ivory-tonal piping and interior lining.
